Square Enix says Final Fantasy Resonance is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC, through Steam and the Xbox app. It released on 22 October.

It's the first Final Fantasy made in the HD-2D style, with strategic turn-based battles and a story built around the Crystals. Chocobos, espers and airships return, and Cloud, Tidus and the Warrior of Light appear as Visions who fight alongside you. Square Enix says it's based on the first arc of the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, rebuilt as a full console RPG.

It costs US$49.99. On Steam in Australia it's AU$74.95. A free demo is out on every platform, and Square Enix says your demo save carries over to the full game.
