Modern Warfare 4 launches 23 Oct with 12 core maps and the modular Kill Block
Activision's launch rundown lists the maps and modes, with Shipment following on 27 October.
Activision says Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on 23 October on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. Its launch post doesn't give a start hour.
Activision lists 12 core 6v6 maps at launch, with Shipment arriving on 27 October. Ground War has three 32v32 maps: Imjin Farmland, Wolves Stadium and Forest. Gunfight has four 2v2 maps: Cafe, Library, NYC and Smuggler.
Kill Block is a modular map that Activision says has more than 500 combinations, played in 3v3 and 10v10.
New modes include Inflation, Hijack, Combat Outpost and Collateral. In Collateral, everyone starts with a pistol and $800, buys gear in a buy phase, and the first team to six rounds wins. Activision says Possession and Infected arrive for Halloween, before Season 1.
