Gen.G signed Kim "MaKo" Myeong-kwan and Lee "Dambi" Hyuk-kyu to its VALORANT roster for the 2027 VCT Pacific season, the organisation said on its Gen.G Gold account on 6 Nov. Separate welcome posts name MaKo as the longtime DRX controller and Dambi as the Masters Santiago MVP, and a third post confirms Kim "Karon" Won-tae is staying for 2027.
Hotspawn and VLR.gg report the same unveiling from a livestream on t3xture's SOOP channel, with t3xture still on the roster and the fifth starter still being trialled. Gen.G missed every global event in 2026 after its 2024 Masters Shanghai peak, so the MaKo–Dambi pair is its biggest Pacific off-season swing in years.
Pacific Kickoff still runs through Oceania's open qualifier path Photite covered this week. OCE teams watching Pacific partner moves should treat Gen.G's new duelist–controller core as a different problem set for 2027 scrims once the fifth name lands.
For Oceania's own Kickoff route, see VCT Pacific Kickoff Oceania Qualifier registration.
