NVIDIA's 621.01 driver brings Advanced Shader Delivery to RTX cards
Microsoft's feature downloads precompiled shaders with the game, cutting first-launch shader waits. AMD, Intel and Qualcomm support it too.
NVIDIA's GeForce Game Ready driver 621.01, released on 21 October, adds support for Microsoft's Advanced Shader Delivery on RTX graphics cards running Windows 11 24H2 or later.
Advanced Shader Delivery downloads precompiled shaders along with the game, so players skip most of the shader compiling that usually happens on first launch or during play. NVIDIA's Andrew Burnes told The Verge it gives a "near-100 percent cache hit rate".
Microsoft says the first supported games are Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, through the Xbox PC app, and that support is coming to Steam and Epic. Microsoft also lists AMD Adrenalin 26.6.1 or later, Intel Arc B570 and B580 and Core Ultra Series 2 and 3, and Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 as supported.
The driver is also Game Ready for Phantom Blade Zero, Modern Warfare 4, NBA 2K27 and Crimson Desert.
