World of Warcraft: Forever's day/night cycle runs on North American time, so Oceanic players logging on in the evening find Azeroth in pitch darkness. On Blizzard's official WoW: Forever podcast, the developers said they've talked about giving the Australian servers their own time zone.

Lead software engineer Ana Resendez said the catch is grouping: if an OCE player accepts an invite from a North American player, "all of a sudden you go from night to day within like a couple of seconds." Senior game designer Josh Greenfield asked Australian players directly whether they'd be okay with that, saying feedback would honestly help.

Nothing is decided yet. PC Gamer also reported the discussion. WoW: Forever launches 4 Nov, 3pm PT (5 Nov, 9am AEST).
