Nagoshi Studio, the developer founded by Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi in 2021 with NetEase funding, was dissolved by shareholders' resolution on 31 Oct. The notice appeared in Japan's official gazette on 2 Nov, Gematsu and Polygon report.
Polygon, citing earlier Bloomberg reporting, says NetEase stopped funding the studio after learning Gang of Dragon needed about ¥7 billion more to finish.
Gang of Dragon, a crime action game starring Ma Dong-seok, was revealed in December 2025. No cancellation or move to another studio has been announced, and its Steam page is still up (as of 2 Nov).
