Blizzard says early name reservations for World of Warcraft: Forever run from 27 October to 3 November. Its list of start times covers Europe, North America, Korea and Taiwan. It doesn't name Oceania.

For this week's stress test, Blizzard put Oceanic players with the Americas, with one start time "for players in the Americas+Oceania". If reservations follow the same split, the North American start is the one that matters here: 27 Oct, 1pm PT (28 Oct, 6am AEST). That's 7am AEDT in Sydney and Melbourne.

During the window, eligible players can reserve names for up to three characters in total across all rulesets. Blizzard says reservations are for eligible upgrade purchases and are first come, first served. Make two characters on a PvP ruleset and you can only make one more on a Normal or Role-Play ruleset.

Names work differently in Forever. Every character gets two names, a first name and a second name, and the full pair has to be unique across the region rather than on a single realm. You can hide the second name in the game world, but it still shows in chat.

Before that, the beta is winding down. Wowhead reports that Blizzard extended it and will close it on 23 Oct, 10am PT (24 Oct, 3am AEST). The game itself launches on 4 Nov, 3pm PT (5 Nov, 9am AEST).
