ASUS says AMD's FSR 4.1 upscaling reaches the ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally X20 as a preview update from 23 October. On these handhelds it runs on a new model less than half the size of AMD's original INT8 model, built for the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip.

To try it, open Armoury Crate SE, go to Update Center, then Preview Updates, and download the latest GPU driver. ASUS warns preview builds can have bugs. If you'd rather wait, it will move to the Official Updates tab once the preview ends.

Games with FSR built in can switch it on in their settings. ASUS has also added an FSR tile to the Command Center that brings FSR 4.1 to older games supporting FSR 3.1 or newer, which it says covers more than 400 games. Don't use it with RSR, the system-wide upscaler.

The cheaper base ROG Xbox Ally gets a GPU driver update on 28 October, ASUS says. Windows Central had first reported the base model would miss out, then corrected that. FSR 4.1 is also coming to Xbox Series X and S, with no date yet.
