Warhorse Studios, the Czech developer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, says it has been hit by a cyberattack. In a short statement on 27 Oct the studio said it was working with cybersecurity specialists to secure its systems and "understand the full extent of what happened", Eurogamer and IGN report.
Chief executive Martin Frývaldský called it "a serious incident for Warhorse Studios and for everyone affected" in comments to Czech media quoted by Eurogamer. He said the studio's immediate priority was to secure its systems and protect employees, partners and the community. IGN says the studio has contacted the authorities and isn't giving interviews.
Warhorse hasn't said who was behind the attack or what was taken. The studio is working on an open-world Lord of the Rings role-playing game and a new Kingdom Come game.
