Loftia, a solarpunk life-sim MMO made by Sydney studio Qloud Games, launched into Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store on 3 Nov for PC and Mac, the studio says in its launch announcement. Qloud Games says a Nintendo Switch version is planned and it is aiming for a full release next year (as of 3 Nov).
Players farm, craft, decorate homes and help restore a shared world with other players online. Qloud Games was co-founded by Michael Su and Martina Qin and says it has about 40 developers. It has also tied the launch to tree-planting charity One Tree Planted.
On Steam, Loftia is US$29.99 · A$39.99, with a 17% launch discount to US$24.89 · A$33.19 (as of 4 Nov). The studio's own claims about its Kickstarter and Steam Next Fest results are left out here because they could not be checked independently.
Photite covered another Australian Early Access launch, Milo from Brisbane's Yarrawah Interactive, on 30 Oct.
